Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the SubMac Agent app for Android and the services behind it ("SubMac", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use SubMac. We've written them to be read.

1. What SubMac is

SubMac is a personal AI agent. It chats with you, remembers what you tell it, and, when you allow it, uses your phone, files, apps and websites to get things done. You can hire bots that work for you, make voice calls with SubMac, and publish websites it builds. SubMac is free to use within a daily allowance, and you can choose to buy a package or pay as you go for more. Some features are in beta and may change or stop working.

2. Your account

• SubMac is for people 18 and over. You must be 18 or older to use it.
• Give a real email address and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• One person per account. Don't create accounts to get around limits or bans.
• Tell us at contact@submac.site if you think someone else is using your account.

3. AI answers can be wrong

SubMac's answers are produced by AI models. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, even when they sound sure. Check anything important before you rely on it. SubMac is not a doctor, lawyer, financial adviser or emergency service: for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions, talk to a qualified person, and in an emergency contact your local emergency number.

4. Using SubMac safely

• Use SubMac in a way that is safe for you and for others. Don't use it while driving or in any situation where looking at your phone could put someone in danger.
• Health, business and money tools help you keep records and understand them. They don't replace a doctor, pharmacist, accountant or other professional. Take medicine only as your health worker prescribes, and in an emergency call your local emergency number first.
• Code, files and websites SubMac makes for you can contain mistakes. Test them before you use them for anything important, and keep your own copies of important work.
• Keep your phone locked and your account private. Don't share your password, codes sent to you, or approval cards with anyone.
• Think before you give SubMac or a bot powers on your phone, apps or accounts, and only give the powers a task needs. You can turn them off at any time.
• If SubMac or a bot does something you didn't expect, stop the task, turn off the power it used, and tell us at contact@submac.site.

5. Actions SubMac takes for you

• SubMac only uses the phone permissions, apps and accounts you turn on, and you can turn them off at any time.
• SubMac asks for your approval before anything that pays, sends, posts or deletes, and when you set a bot to "New", before any action that changes something. When you approve an action, or choose a trust level that lets SubMac or a bot act without asking, you are responsible for that action as if you had done it yourself.
• Read approval cards before you tap Approve. Messages SubMac sends for you (for example on WhatsApp or by email) are sent in your name.
• Automated steps can fail or land in the wrong place if an app or website changes. Check important results, such as a sent message, a booking or a moved file.
• Only connect accounts and devices that are yours or that you have permission to use, and follow the rules of the apps SubMac uses for you.

6. Daily allowance, plans and payments

Every account has a free daily allowance for AI use, including Live voice calls, with a monthly cap. It resets at midnight Mogadishu time (EAT). Invites and other rewards can add a temporary bonus. We may change allowances, limits and rewards to keep SubMac running for everyone. Rewards have no cash value, can't be sold or transferred, and may be removed if they were earned through fake accounts or other abuse.

Packages and pay as you go. If you want more, you can buy:

• A package (Weekly or Monthly): a daily amount and a total, for 7 or 30 days. Each day you can use up to the daily amount until the total runs out. What you don't use in a day doesn't carry over. A package you buy while another one is running starts when that one ends.
• Pay as you go: you choose how much to buy. It lasts 12 months from the day you buy it and has no daily limit.

We show the price in US dollars and what you get before you pay. The app shows what you have left as an estimated number of replies; long replies and Live calls use more. SubMac uses your free allowance first, then your package, then pay as you go. Bots and background tasks can use up to half of each day's free or package amount. Changes to prices or amounts apply to new purchases only.

Paying. You must be 18 or older to buy. Payments are taken by a licensed payment partner, by mobile money (EVC Plus, ZAAD, SAHAL, eDahab, Premier Wallet) or card. We never see your PIN or card details. A package is a one-time payment: it doesn't renew or charge you again on its own. We remind you the day before it ends.

If a payment isn't clear yet. Mobile money can take a few minutes to confirm. If you approved a payment, it still counts: we keep checking and add what you bought once it's confirmed. If a payment doesn't go through, nothing is added. If money left your account and nothing was added, write to us.

Refunds. You can get a refund for the unused part of a package or pay-as-you-go amount within 14 days of buying it. To ask, email contact@submac.site within 14 days of the purchase. Only the part you haven't used is refunded; what you have already used is not. When we make this refund, your account is suspended. If you were charged by mistake, charged twice, or paid and nothing was added, write to us at the same address and we will fix it or refund you. Other refunds are made where the law requires it. If a payment is refunded, reversed or found to be fraudulent, what it added and is still left is taken back.

What you buy. Packages and pay-as-you-go amounts can only be used in SubMac, on your own account. They have no cash value and can't be cashed out, sold or sent to someone else. If you delete your account, anything you paid for that is still left is lost. The app warns you before you delete.

7. Bots and the Bot Store

• Bots act on the instructions, apps and powers you give them. You are responsible for what your bots do, including bots set to keep working while your phone is off.
• If you publish a bot in the Bot Store or share it, you give us permission to show it to others and let them hire a copy of it. Don't publish bots that copy someone else's work without permission, pretend to be someone, or break these rules.
• Bots made by other people are theirs, not ours. Review what a bot does before you give it powers.

8. Sites you publish

• Free SubMac links are public to anyone who has the link and are taken down automatically after 7 days. They have limits on size, number of files, live links and publishes per day. They are for previews and sharing, not for permanent or business-critical websites.
• Free links can't contain pages that ask for passwords, and must follow the acceptable use rules below. We may take any free link down at any time, without notice, if we believe it breaks these terms or the law, or if someone reports it.
• Sites on your own Vercel account are hosted by Vercel under your account and Vercel's terms. You manage them, including any domain names.
• You are responsible for everything on sites you publish, including making sure you have the rights to the text, images and names used.

9. Other apps and services

SubMac can work with other apps and services, such as Google, WhatsApp, Telegram, GitHub, Notion, Vercel and the websites you visit. Those services have their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them. A service may change or block the way SubMac works with it, and some features may stop working as a result.

10. What you can use SubMac for

You can use SubMac for any lawful personal, study, work or business purpose, for example to:

• ask questions, learn, translate, and write or improve messages, documents and plans;
• run your own business tasks, such as keeping sales, stock and expense records and preparing invoices and reports;
• keep your family's health records, reminders and appointments for your own use;
• build, test and publish your own apps, code and websites;
• organise your files, calendar and tasks, and send messages you approve to people who expect to hear from you;
• create bots for yourself, your team or customers who agree to use them.

When you use SubMac for work or for other people, you are responsible for following the laws and professional rules that apply to you, such as tax, consumer, licensing and data protection rules.

11. Acceptable use

Don't use SubMac, its bots or its published sites to:

• break any law, or help someone else break one;
• send spam, bulk unsolicited messages or cold outreach, or harass, threaten, bully or stalk anyone;
• phish, scam, defraud, impersonate a person or organization, or collect other people's logins or personal information;
• spread malware, or try to break into accounts, devices or systems that aren't yours;
• create or share sexual content involving minors, content that promotes violence or terrorism, or hateful content that attacks people for who they are;
• infringe someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
• get around limits, allowances, safety checks or bans, resell access, or scrape or overload our services;
• track, record or watch someone, or read their messages or accounts, without their permission;
• make or get weapons, explosives or illegal drugs, or plan to hurt yourself or anyone else;
• run gambling, money transfers, lending or other financial, medical or legal services that need a licence you don't have;
• reverse engineer the app or our servers, except where the law allows it.

We may use automated checks and human review to find abuse, and we may limit, suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

12. Your content

What you put into SubMac (messages, files, instructions) and what SubMac makes for you (answers, documents, sites) belongs to you, as far as the law allows. You give us permission to store, process and send it only as needed to run SubMac for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. Because AI output is generated, similar answers may be given to other people, and you should check that anything you publish doesn't copy someone else's work. The SubMac app, name, logo and design belong to us.

13. App updates

We improve SubMac regularly. The app tells you when a new version is ready, and it installs only when you tap Install. Some updates fix safety or security problems, so we may require them before you can keep using SubMac. Older versions may stop working with our services.

14. Ending your use

You can stop using SubMac and delete your account at any time in Settings → Your data → Delete account. We may suspend or close your account, or stop offering some or all of SubMac, if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we can no longer run the service. Where reasonable, we will tell you first so you can save what you need.

15. Disclaimers

SubMac is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it reliable and safe, but we don't promise that it will always be available, error-free or right, that published sites will stay online, or that actions on other apps will always succeed. To the extent the law allows, we make no other warranties.

16. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data, or losses caused by AI answers you relied on, actions you approved, other apps and services, or things outside our reasonable control. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of USD 50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be changed by contract.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as SubMac changes. We will change the date at the top, and for important changes we will tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using SubMac after that, the new terms apply.
